3 Servicing/Maintenance
3.2 Maintenance schedule
if neededAfter every use weekly
Flush pump system with
clean water
Clean fresh water and dirty
water tank
Clean lower machine section
with a damp cloth
Inspect wiping lips for wear
and clean or replace if
necessary
Replace brush roller
3.1 Important safety notes

Always disconnect mains plug/
battery connection before working
on machine!

repair work described in the

Always leave servicing and repair
work, especially the elimination of
electrical faults, to the Alto
Customer Service staff or to an
authorised specialist.
Servicing/Maintenance
3.3 Maintenance work
3.3.1 Flushing pump system
Fill fresh water bag drained of
cleaning agent with approx. 1 l
of clean water.
Set three-position switch (B) to
position ‘1’. (Fig. 7) Spraying
pump runs. Flush spraying
pump with clean water for
approx. 1 min.
Catch exiting clean water of
vacuum up with machine.
3.3.2 Cleaning fresh water
and dirty water tank
Remove tank from automatic
cleaning machine before
cleaning and draining dirty and
fresh water.
Drain dirty water tank:
Pull of drain plug.
Pour out dirty water via housing
corner.
Remove fresh water bag:
Slightly pull up tab of fresh
water bag (Fig. 3/1) and unhook
from edge.
Lay bag in tank and remove
through large tank opening.
(Fig. 3/2)
Drain fresh water tank and flush
with fresh water.
If necessary, hang up bag to dry
and thoroughly flush tank.
Control/Operation
After draining:
Press drain plug back into
opening. (Fig. 8/4)
Flush sieve in tank cover with
clean water if dirty. (Fig. )
Check suction lips on suction
nozzle for dirt deposits (paper,
cigarette residues, sand etc.)
before machine is refilled and
put into operation again.
2.4 After use
Set ON/OFF switch to ‘OFF’
position. (Fig. 7)
Set three-position switch to
position 2, ‘OFF’. (Fig. 7)
Raise suction nozzles. (Fig. 5/3)
Pull out mains plug.
Wind up power cable.
Store machine in frost-free
room.
