3.4 Troubleshooting
CAUTION!
Always disconnect mains plug/
battery connection before
working on machine!
Fault Cause Remedy
Machine does not run
Insufficient suction
Stripes form
Insufficient supply of cleaning
agent
> Mains/battery plug not
connected.
> Fuse blown or earth-leakage
circuit-breaker tripped.
> Overheating protection has
been activated.
> Power supply interrupted.
> Suction nozzle plugged.
> Connection of tank cover open.
> Tank cover not properly fitted or
seal defective.
> Suction sieve in tank cover
plugged.
> Drain plug on tank not
completely closed.
> Suction lips dirty or worn.
> Lines or nozzles plugged with
cleaning agent.
Plug in mains/battery plug.
Check fuse or earth-leakage
circuit-breaker.
Allow motor to cool.
Have supply line checked by
electrician.
Eliminate plugging.
Connect suction hose.
Fit tank cover properly or replace
seal.
Rinse sieve with clean water.
Check seal, press on plug firmly.
Clean or replace suction lips.
Flush fresh water tank and line
system. (Chap. 3.3.1)
Control/Operation
Hook in fresh water bag:
Hook tab of fresh water bag on
left side of tank opening seen in
direction of travel. (Fig. 3/1)
Separate cover from suction
hoses and flush thoroughly.
Flush suction sieve for cleaning
agent (Fig. 4/2) and sieve in
cover with clean water.
Clean machine and suction lips
with damp cloth. Clean brushes
and pads with water if necessary.
WARNING!
Only carry out maintenance and
repair work described in the
operating instructions.
Always leave servicing and repair
work, especially the elimination of
electrical faults, to the Alto
Customer Service technicians or to
an authorised specialist.Fachkraft.
3.4.1 Warranty
Non-compliance with the handling
instructions, repairs carried out with
non-original spare parts and
attempts to carry out the repairs by
the user lead to a loss of the right to
make claims under the warranty.
To clean pads or brushes, tilt
machine back onto handle.
Pull brush and driving disk off
mount and wash. (Fig. 11)
When remounting, make sure
that brush or driving disk
engages in groove.
3.3.3 Changing suction nozzles
Remove tank.
Tilt machine back onto handle.
Press in clips at left and right on
suction nozzles. (Fig. 10/1)
Pull off suction nozzles
downward. (Fig. 10/2)
Position new suction nozzles
and audibly engage with light
pressure.
3.3.4 Changing brushes
Remove tank.
Tilt machine back onto handle.
Release brushes at left and right
and pull off (remove by turning).
