1 Safety Notes
WARNING! Read these safety
notes and the operating
instructions before putting
this machine into operation.
This machine may only be
employed for its intended use, as
described in the operating
instructions. All covers, flaps and
caps must be installed and closed
in the proper manner. The
machine may only be operated
by persons who have been
instructed in its handling and
expressly entrusted with its
operation.
This machine must not be
operated with inflammable
liquids, health-endangering
substances and/or inflammable
dusts.
Remove the plug of the mains
lead from the plug socket before
carrying out cleaning and
maintenance work.

Do not pull the machine along
with the mains lead and do not
drive over the lead. Take care
not to crush the mains lead or to
drag it over sharp corners. If the
mains lead is damaged, the
machine must not be used until
the lead has been replaced with
an approved lead. Observe the
protection class and type of
protection.
Repairs and maintenance work
may only be carried out by a
person authorised by Alto or by an
acknowledged organisation.
If used for trade purposes the
cleaner must be subjected to a
regular safety check, normally
once per year. Observe the
applicable national regulations!
This machine is suitable for
commercial operation under
heavy-duty conditions, such as in
hotels, schools, hospitals,
factories, shops, rental
apartments and all other
applications which do not
constitute normal household
cleaning jobs.
Other persons or children must
not be in the working area during
operation.
When using cleaning fluids, a
hazard can suddenly arise if
these fluids are hot, under high
pressure or if the fluids
themselves represent a health
hazard. Use only the cleaning
agents approved by Alto.
If either fluid or foam escapes
unintentionally from the
machine, switch off the machine
immediately and observe the
notes given in the operating
instructions.
Check the filling levels at regular
intervals and clean the tank as
described in the operating
instructions.
If attachments or accessories are
used, the safety notes and
operating instructions for this
equipment must also be
observed. Do not overload the
attachment plug sockets on the
machine by connecting
equipment with a rating higher
than the rating of the socket. Use
brushes, pads and accessories
only as described in the operating
instructions. Failure to observe
these instructions can lead to a
hazardous situation arising.
This machine may only be
operated on a maximum gradient
of 2% unless steeper gradients
are approved in the operating
instructions.
Move the machine carefully on
ramps and slopes. Do not change
direction on slopes. Do not park
the machine on slopes. When
leaving the machine, remove the
key and secure the machine to
prevent unauthorised operation.
